Hill is a 4-time World Champion and has the most title defenses of any active champion in the light heavyweight division. He also holds the career record for most title defenses of any light heavyweight champion in history. GoldenPalace.com will be sponsoring Hill's title defense, and temporarily tattooing their logo on his back as they have with other high-profile boxers - most notably Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins. The popular cyber casino has left an impression on the boxing community with this innovative form of advertising. On February 21, 2002, GoldenPalace.com obtained an injunction before the Nevada District Court, overturning the Nevada Athletic Commission's ruling that banned advertising on the back of boxers competing in the state of Nevada. This injunction allows them to sponsor and tattoo another fighter, Clarence "Bones" Adams, for his bout at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on the same day that Hill will be tattooed for his fight in France. This injunction sets a favorable precedent for the casino. Expect to see the "GoldenPalace.com" tattoo epidemic to continue to spread throughout the world. « Back to Sports Events Main Page Comments on this event None yet. You could be the first!
