An artistic woman, somewhere in the United States has painted the GoldenPalace.com logo and sold it to the online casino on eBay for $250.00. Plugging it as a ??perfect gift for any GP or eBay fan?, she painted the entire piece by hand from a tiny printout of the logo, increasing its size to 24?X24?, and it?s on canvas, ready to frame. She says: ?I have been admiring the lines, deco feel and presentation of this wonderful logo, and so I decided to dust off my art supplies and pay homage to the company that has made eBay such an exciting place to be.? And she wants everyone to know that she didn?t make any copies and none will be made, so that this is a one-of-a-kind original hand-painted artist rendering of the GoldenPalace.com logo. It?s not clear how long it took to paint the piece, but it was completed on August 21st, and immediately put up for auction on eBay. Four days later, she had the winning bid, and Golden Palace Online Casino now has another unique piece of artwork to add to its growing collection. On the auction page, which you can see by clicking on the link at the top of this page, she said: ?If you could see how small the image is that I had to work from, you would see it was a real challenge but it sure was fun! Hmmmm, now see that Mr. Shannon, I was paying attention in art class! At least part of the time... when I wasn't talking.? This isn?t the first time GoldenPalace.com has purchased some one-of-a-kind artwork from eBay, but it is the first time that someone has created a hand-painted replica of the Online Casino?s logo. Recently, they?ve also bought several hand-made creations, including some ?replicas? of the ?Golden Palace?; one complete with a royal family of golden rocks and one made completely of toast! Perhaps this latest online auction buy will hang along side the Conan O?Brien portrait made of Lego? bricks! Maybe the golden rocks royal family will find a suitable place to hang it in one of their royal residences! « Back to Auctions Events Main Page Comments on this event On September 25th, 2005 at 9:30 PM TooCheap said: GP should have offered more for that... Art and creativity are a passion, turning that into cash was just the icing on the cake. The satisfaction of knowing something I created is on display with Golden Palace is reward in itself.
